What's Coming Up
Real topics from real challenges we've seen in the field. Each session runs about 75 minutes with plenty of time for your questions.
Making Sense of Canadian Tax Implications
Tax season brings unique challenges for Canadian investment advisors. We'll walk through scenarios we've encountered with RRSP reporting, capital gains tracking, and how to present this information so clients actually understand it.
When Clients Ask the Hard Questions
Performance dips happen. Market volatility is real. How do you present quarterly reports that acknowledge challenges while maintaining confidence? We'll share frameworks that have worked for advisors across BC and Ontario.
Automating Without Losing the Personal Touch
Technology should make your life easier, not create more headaches. Learn which parts of investment reporting you can automate safely and where that human review still matters. Plus, avoiding the common pitfalls we've seen cost advisors time and credibility.
Building Reports Clients Will Read
Dense spreadsheets aren't helping anyone. We'll look at visualization techniques that work, language that connects with different client types, and how to structure reports so the important stuff doesn't get buried on page seven.
Year-End Reporting Without the Panic
December gets hectic fast. This session covers the preparation work that makes year-end reporting manageable, common mistakes that create January headaches, and strategies from advisors who've refined their processes over years of practice.
Regulatory Changes You Need to Know
Canadian securities regulations keep evolving. We'll break down recent changes affecting investment reporting requirements, what compliance officers are actually looking for, and how to stay current without drowning in regulatory updates.
How Our Sessions Work
Different learning styles need different approaches. We've tested various formats over the past three years and settled on what actually gets results for busy professionals.
Live Interactive Sessions
Join us in real time with screen sharing, live demos, and the ability to ask questions as they come up. Most attendees find this format works best when they're tackling something new or particularly complex. Sessions are capped at 45 participants so everyone gets attention.
On-Demand Recordings
Can't make the live time? Every session gets recorded and available within 24 hours. Watch at your own pace, pause to take notes, replay sections that matter to your specific situation. Recordings stay accessible for twelve months after the original session date.
Workshop Formats
Once a quarter, we run extended workshops where you bring your actual reporting challenges. These are smaller groups, usually eight to twelve people, working through real scenarios with guidance from experienced advisors. Think of it as collaborative problem-solving rather than lecture-style learning.
Follow-Up Resources
After each webinar, you'll get templates, checklists, or frameworks discussed during the session. Nothing fancy, just practical tools you can adapt for your own practice. We also maintain a resource library for registered participants.

Learning from Someone Who Gets It
I spent eleven years building investment reports before I started teaching others how to do it better. Worked with small advisory firms in Vancouver, moved to a mid-sized wealth management company in Toronto, then spent time consulting across Alberta. Each place had different systems, different client expectations, different pain points.
What struck me was how many advisors were reinventing the wheel. Smart people spending hours on problems that others had already solved. Or worse, making the same mistakes I'd made early in my career because nobody had shown them a better way.
These webinars came out of conversations I kept having. An advisor in Kamloops would ask about automating performance calculations. Someone in Halifax needed help explaining currency hedging to clients. A colleague in Winnipeg was drowning in year-end reporting. Same questions, different provinces, all solvable.
What I bring to these sessions is honesty about what works and what doesn't. I've built reports that clients loved and reports that caused more confusion than clarity. I've automated processes that saved hours and tried automation that created new problems. The value isn't in having all the answers but in sharing what I've learned through actual practice with real clients and real consequences.
If you're looking for theoretical frameworks or academic approaches, this probably isn't your fit. But if you want practical guidance from someone who's dealt with demanding clients, tight deadlines, and constantly changing regulations in the Canadian market, then we should talk. Registration opens quarterly, and spots fill up based on who signs up first.
